Mountain climbing in January is not necessarily a lot of fun.
That generally sums up the University of New Mexico women’s basketball team’s outlook after visiting a pair of Rocky Mountain destinations this week.
Much like they did Thursday at Wyoming, the Lobos spent Saturday’s game at Colorado State playing uphill after a dreadful start. The results were also much the same as the Rams handed UNM its second straight loss, this one by a 76-65 margin.
There were bright spots for the Lobos (9-7, 1-2 Mountain West), and coach Mike Bradbury felt his team played harder and better than it did in Thursday’s 78-69 defeat at Wyoming.
