ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico Lobos and Utah State Aggies may have a tough time waiting for today’s Mountain West women’s basketball game (2 p.m., 610 AM) to tip off in Logan, Utah.
Both teams are coming off overtime nightmares they’d dearly love to start forgetting.
The Lobos (8-5, 1-1 MWC) effectively built a brick mansion in last week’s 69-65 double-overtime loss to Fresno State at the Pit. UNM won most of the statistical battles and briefly held a five-point lead in the first overtime, but icy shooting from the field (23-for-78) and the foul line (16-for-30) ultimately proved too much to overcome.
