ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Quite a few things have changed since the UNM women’s basketball team last won its annual Thanksgiving Tournament.
Don Flanagan was coaching the Lobos at the time, Bill Richardson was New Mexico’s governor and George W. Bush was President.
Yes, it’s been a while.
New Mexico (3-1) will try to extend one streak and snap another this weekend when it hosts Southern Utah, Duquesne and North Carolina A&T for the 2015 Thanksgiving hoops get-together. The Lobos have won 15 consecutive games at the Pit dating back to, you guessed it, last year’s tournament championship.
