You wouldn’t call it a thin red line, even when the Lobos are wearing their home cherry jerseys. The University of New Mexico offensive line doesn’t lack for numbers and doesn’t lack for size.
What’s lacking, coach Bob Davie said on Monday, is an identity.
“I think our offensive line is just like our team,” he said. “We have a few more numbers (than in past years), but we don’t have anybody that’s just that dynamic or that good right now that’s going to make a difference just yet.”
The most obvious difference makers in the Lobos 40-21 loss to Tulsa last Saturday played on the Golden Hurricane’s offensive unit, which generated 600 yards running and passing.
