Once again, it appears, Bob Davie’s gain is Joe Franklin’s gain.
Huntsville (Texas) High School wide receiver Jay Griffin IV is poised to sign a letter of intent today to attend the University of New Mexico, along with his teammate and cousin, cornerback Corey Hightower, and play for Davie’s Lobos.
Griffin is fast.
Really fast.
Faster, at least according to his track-and-field résumé, than former Lobos wide receiver/kick returner Carlos Wiggins or current UNM wideout Ridge Jones, who run the sprints for Franklin, the Lobos’ track coach. Griffin’s best time in the 200-meter dash, 21.
