ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Lobo Field, home of the UNM baseball team, will be called Santa Ana Star Field after the school’s regents approved the deal on Friday
Tamaya Enterprises will make a $1 million gift, to be paid over 10 years, for the naming rights, UNM athletic director Paul Krebs said in a letter to the UNM naming committee.
“We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with Tamaya Enterprises who have been long-standing supporters of the Lobos. The field naming rights is a great example of their commitment to the community and provides us an opportunity for Lobo Athletics to give back to the Pueblo of Santa Ana,” said Krebs in a statement released by the school.
