ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – It was another opponent ranked in the top 15 nationally for the Lobo Women's Soccer team on Sunday after facing top-ranked Florida State on Friday evening. New Mexico again battled and gave Texas Tech everything they could handle before dropping the 1-0 decision. The Lobo attack showed increased intensity as UNM out-shot the Lady Red Raiders 15-11 for the match.
New Mexico looked to have an early goal when sophomore Claire Lynch fired a left-footed shot in the tenth minute that forced a diving save by TTU's Lauren Watson. Lynch put a second shot on frame just ten minutes later, forcing another save by Watson.
