The University of New Mexico men’s basketball team lost 84-73 on Wednesday night at league rival Utah State, which led by as many as 20 points and was in control throughout.

While a win would have kept the Lobos in third place, a game out of the league lead, the loss drops them into fifth place, two games off the pace.

The most optimistic of projections have five league teams qualifying for the NCAA Tournament.

So, the question: Where do you see the Lobos finishing in the league standings? Vote here. Results will be tabulated Thursday.
