DALLAS – University of New Mexico men's soccer defender Aaron Herrera was named Man of the Match by US Soccer in the U-20 Men's National Team's 3-3 draw against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
In the final match of group play of the 2016 Dallas Cup, Herrera scored a game-tying goal in the 37th minute for USA. He started for his nation's U-20 back line and was named the team's best player by US Soccer, as listed HERE.
The 2016 Dallas Cup was the first step in the process of forming the roster for the 2017 CONCACAF U-20 Men's Championship from which four teams will earn a berth to the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea.
