ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — If the Boise State women’s basketball team needs footage for a highlight video, Saturday’s first-half performance at the Pit will suffice.
The Broncos put on an absolute clinic, building a 25-point lead that proved too large for host New Mexico to overcome. Despite appearing mortal in the second half — when UNM cut the deficit to 11 — Boise State walked away with an 81-60 victory.
Brooke Pahukoa scored 25 points and went 7-for-10 from 3-point range to pace the Broncos (14-6, 7-3 Mountain West). Pahukoa hit all four of her 3s in the first half, when Boise State shot 72 percent and looked like a legitimate Top-10 team.
