KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Outgoing senior defender Matt Dorsey of The University of New Mexico men's soccer team was named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-West Region Team as it was announced by the coaching organization on Monday.

Dorsey, a native of Spring, Texas, earned the academic honor after boasting a 3.87 GPA in business administration at UNM. The honor from the United Soccer Coaches comes in addition to Dorsey earning Google Cloud Academic All-District® honors back in November.
This past season, Dorsey played and started in all 17 of UNM's games.
