LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After going 0-for-7 from three-point range in the first quarter and missing their first 11 three-point attempts, the University of New Mexico women's basketball team found their rhythm from beyond the arc late in the second quarter and used that to help spark themselves to an 86-67 win over in-state rival New Mexico State University.
Fueling that success from beyond the arc were Jaedyn De La Cerda and Ahlise Hurst as the sharpshooting duo combined for all 11 of the Lobos' (4-0) makes against the Aggies (1-3) on Sunday afternoon.
