Davie, the University of New Mexico’s fourth-year football coach, believes the Lobos (1-2) are on the cusp of being a good football team.

The UNM defense made progress last Friday in a 34-10 loss to Arizona State, he said, and must build on that trend.
The offense?

“We’ve in some ways lost a little bit of our identity,” he said Monday morning during a 10-minute interview on radio station KNML-AM.
