COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of New Mexico men's basketball players Elijah Brown and Tim Williams have been selected as All-Mountain West Conference First Team honorees in the media poll, released Sunday. Brown was also selected by the media as the league's Newcomer of the Year.
In his first season with the Lobos, Brown has led New Mexico in scoring with 21.5 points per game. At 668 points scored this season, Brown is in range of becoming the fourth Lobo ever to score 700+ points in a season. He is one of the nation's leading free throw shooters, draining 207 of 244 attempts for an 84 percent free throw mark.
