Breaking: Lobos upset Boise State

BOISE, Idaho — The University of New Mexico stunned 30-point favorite Boise State 31-24 on Saturday night in Mountain West Conference football.

It was the first win in seven tries against the Broncos for UNM (6-4, 4-2), which became bowl eligible for the first time since the 2007 season.

Boise State’s last play ended at UNM’s 3-yard line, with safety Markel Byrd making a touchdown-saving tackle.
