NORMAN, Okla. — University of New Mexico men's golfer Andrej Bevins was named Honorable Mention PING All-America by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Thursday. It is the first such honor for Bevins.
Bevins earned his honor after leading the Lobos to the NCAA Championships in May. The Elk Grove, California, native logged eight top-15 finishes during the 2016-17 season, including co-titlist honors at the NCAA Regionals.
He finished his senior season with a 72.22 stroke average over 45 rounds, carding nine rounds at 70 or lower.
An All-Mountain West selection, Bevins also placed top-five at the 3M Augusta Invitational and The Maxwell Invitational to go along with his performance at the NCAA Regionals in West Lafayette, Indiana.
