It took a while for the Arizona State Sun Devils to bring the heat.
But bring it they did, easing past the struggling New Mexico Lobos, 34-10, Friday night at Sun Devil Stadium.
The Lobos fell to 1-2 on the season. Arizona State is 2-1.
Arizona State has beaten New Mexico 19 times in a row and leads the series 24-5-1. The Lobos haven’t beaten ASU since 1942. They won in Tempe for the only time in 1934.
Friday‘s game was the second of a home-and-home series between the two teams. The Sun Devils beat the Lobos 58-23 last season in Albuquerque.
