ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – University of New Mexico baseball freshman catcher Andrew Pratt has been named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball News.
Pratt's journey for Freshman All-American status was an example of trusting the process. Pratt did not open the year as the Lobos' starting catcher, but the opportunity to start opened up when an injury to Chris DeVito prevented him from playing behind the plate. Pratt made six starts before the month of May, but started every game from May 1 on.
Pratt helped the Lobos win the Mountain West Championship and go on to the NCAA Lubbock Regional.
