The University of New Mexico men’s basketball team fell to Air Force 89-77 Friday night at Clune Arena on the campus of the Air Force Academy near Colorado Springs.
The game wasn’t that close. Air Force led by 20 in the second half.
UNM played without guard Jaelen House, who went through Friday’s early shootaround but was ruled out with a tight hamstring, the school said.
The loss came as the Lobos found themselves squarely on the NCAA Tournament bubble early Friday, per ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi, who earlier in the day projected UNM as one of the last four teams in the 68-team field.
