WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Seven-foot-two Isaac Haas scored 21 points and 7-footer A.J. Hammons added 16 in No. 11 Purdue's 70-58 victory over New Mexico on Saturday.
The Boilermakers improved to 8-0 for the first time since the 2009-10 team won 14 straight at the start of the season.
New Mexico (5-2), which got 18 points from Elijah Brown and 16 from Cullen Neal, had no answer for the Boilermakers' 7-footers in the second half when Hammons scored 14 and Haas added nine.
Hammons had 10 rebounds. Haas had six.
