Jordyn Edwards and Brittany Panetti enjoyed a warm reception, literally and figuratively, in Albuquerque this weekend.
The two University of New Mexico women’s basketball recruits were all smiles when asked about their first impression of the campus and the city. They came from drastically different climates, so weather played a role in their sunny outlooks.
Edwards is a 5-foot-9 point guard from Lynnwood, Wash., and Panetti is a 6-2 post from Houston. The two high school seniors said they toured UNM’s campus on official visits and got a look at its basketball facilities and weight room Saturday.
