WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Dalton Prout worked his way into becoming a routine lineup fixture for the Columbus Blue Jackets over the past three seasons, but that changed in 2016-17.
Prout played in just 15 games in Columbus this season after appearing in 176 over the previous three seasons.
Prout is now a member of the Devils after Wednesday's Kyle Quincey trade. He said it was tough leaving the only organization he ever knew in professional hockey and one contending for a Stanley Cup, but the move to the Devils will benefit him.
