WASHINGTON -- Forward Pavel Zacha will be a healthy scratch when the Devils visit the Washington Capitals on Thursday.
The sixth overall pick of the 2015 NHL Draft will be given a chance to step back after a quiet stretch over recent weeks.
"We're trying to put him in situations that we think he can handle and have success," coach John Hynes said. "We're coming in versus Washington, a big, strong, heavy team on the road. It's a situation where we gave him some games lately, and we'd like to see him get better in certain aspects of his game.
