Nico Hischier, the Devils' No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft, has two assists through his first five career games, but he and the Devils expect to score sheet to fill up sooner rather than later.
After Hischier went for four goals and seven points in four preseason games, it would have been natural to expect that run to carry over. With the way Hischier has played so far, points would just add to what he has brought to the ice.
