When John Hynes first mentioned what he liked about Taylor Hall's game on Tuesday night, he didn't mention goals, points or any type of offense.
The Devils coach brought up his play on the opposite end.
"When you look at how many shots he blocked, I think he blocked three or four shots tonight," Hynes said. "That's what you need to do when you're coming out of the funk and you're conceding some goals the way that we did on the road."
Hall's two-goal, two-assist outing in a 4-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins at Prudential Center in Newark certainly gave the Devils what they needed to snap a three-game losing streak.
