Devils defenseman Will Butcher and goalie Keith Kinkaid will play for Team USA at the upcoming IIHF World Championships, while defenseman Mirco Mueller will participate with Switzerland.
As of the Devils' break-up day on Tuesday, those three were the only players officially confirmed to represent their respective countries in May, but a few more Devils could get invites.
Forward Kyle Palmieri and goalie Cory Schneider had not heard either way from the U.S. team, while center Nico Hischier will decide on his availability for Switzerland after a few doctor appointments and meetings in the coming weeks.
