WEST POINT, N.Y. -- Kyle Palmieri said the Devils were told on Sunday they would be doing a team-building exercise where groups of players needed to carry a 150-pound rock up a hill.
Palmieri added the term "hill" slightly underestimated the 1,283-foot Bear Mountain they needed to climb.
The exercise was a part of the Devils' three-day team bonding trip to the US Military Academy at West Point. The Devils had one usual hockey practice on campus on Monday, but other than that, the trip was geared around bringing the Devils closer off the ice.
