Rick MacLeish, who died Monday night at 66, was more than just a proficient scorer on the Flyers' Broad Street Bullies championship teams.
The way MacLeish played made him a fan favorite. The center was a speedster on the ice, and when he picked up steam his long hair would always be blowing in the wind. Then he'd unleash his other big weapon, a killer wrist shot that was used to score a majority of his 349 career NHL goals.
Take your pick, MacLeish probably will be most remembered for being the first Flyers player to score 50 goals in a season or for scoring the only goal in their first Cup-clinching victory, a 1-0 win over the Boston Bruins in Game 6 of the 1973-74 Finals on May 19, 1974.
