Taylor Hall's OT goal lifts Devils past Capitals | Rapid reaction

Taylor Hall scored the game-winning goal 34 seconds into overtime to lift the Devils to a 4-3 win over the Washington Capitals on Thursday at the Prudential Center in Newark.

Hall poked a puck to himself in the neutral zone and finished on a breakaway for his 17th goal of the season.

The game went to OT after the Capitals erased a two-goal Devils lead.

Brett Connolly tied the score at 3-3 with 3:48 left in regulation, netting his second of the game when he fired a low shot through traffic in the slot.
