Eight days off didn’t change much about the Rangers underwhelming season.

J.T. Miller remained a bright spot, doing as much as he could to continue the good feelings that three wins in their previous four matches could muster, but not enough to overcome the relentless Devils Tuesday night.

The Devils had the better goaltender — Cory Schneider was significantly better than Henrik Lundqvist — and the superior power play.
