With the fact that paying a Connor McDavid cap hit for a guy like Mitch Marner is something I would say “NO!” Giving the Toronto Maple Leafs four 1st rounders that the Devils could use just compounds the issue. However, if the cost to get Mitchell Marner is lesser than the cost basis of four 1st-round picks, it’d be better to give Toronto a ready prospect, a 1st, and two 2nd’s.
Marner is an excellent playmaking winger and someone that is very shifty and speedy. The kid is a magician. If he can play on a Hall-Hughes-Marner line, that can create a lot of offense.
