Selected by his fellow teammates for the third straight season, the New Jersey Devils are proud to announce their nomination of goaltender Cory Schneider for the 2016 King Clancy Memorial Trophy, which is awarded annually “to the player in the League that best exemplifies leadership qualities both on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community.”
Schneider, 30, just completed his sixth full NHL season, and his third with the Devils. This past December, he and his wife, Jill, enacted a brand new charitable initiative with the team and Atlantic Health titled Cory’s Keepers which brought 20 different New Jersey youth or veterans’ groups to over 20 Devils home games this season.
