Tuomo Ruutu is expected to be out 4-6 weeks with a fracture in his right foot, coach John Hynes said Monday.
Ruutu has missed the past four games; Hynes said Monday the fracture did not show up initially.
Ruutu has no points and six shots on goal in three games this season.
Forward Bobby Farnham was claimed off waivers Monday from the Pittsburgh Penguins. Farnham has five penalty minutes in three games this season. He had 24 penalty minutes in 11 games last season.
