Where did all the followers go?
Twitter started the process of removing tens of millions of suspicious accounts from its website on Thursday. Many of them were fake accounts and bots.
Some of the most prominent users on the platform were majorly affected. Ashton Kutcher lost more than a million followers. Ellen DeGeneres lost 2 million, and Katy Perry lost 3 million.
And famous New Jerseyans were not spared in the purge. From NBA legend Shaq to lifestyle legend Martha Stewart, the Garden State's Twitter cache took a serious hit on Thursday when the deleting began.
