Rangers forward Andrew Desjardins, who is attending training camp on a PTO with New York, was suspended for two preseason games on Monday for his check to the head of Devils forward Miles Wood in New Jersey's 2-1 win on Saturday.
Desjardins was ejected for the hit, while Wood went through the concussion protocol before returning to the game in the first period. He was re-evaluated after the game and was good to practice on Sunday.
NHL Player Safety announced a hearing for Desjardins on Saturday, and Wood also took issue with the hit.
