The wait is over for the Brandon Wheat Kings.
They posted a decisive 8-4 win in Game 5 of their WHL Final against the Seattle Thunderbirds on Friday, claiming the Ed Chynoweth Cup and ending a 20-year title drought.

Jayce Hawryluk notched a hat trick as part of his five-point night for Brandon, who captured their first crown since 1995-96. The Wheat Kings were making their second straight Final appearance after being swept by Kelowna last season.
