No surprise here, Steve Santini the hard hitting defenseman was voted as the Devils second best prospect. Santini was drafted by the Devils 42nd overall in 2013. He was their first pick that year, as they traded their first round pick to Vancouver for Cory Schneider. Many fans were upset that the Devils chose another defenseman but in retrospect it looks like the right move.

After the draft, Santini shipped up to Boston to play for the Boston College Eagles. In his freshman year Santini amassed three goals and eight assists in 36 games.
