Nico Hischier practiced again on Tuesday at Prudential Center in Newark, completing another step in his attempt to return to the Devils' lineup.
Hischier missed the past four games due to a left wrist injury suffered on Sunday, Nov. 11, against the Winnipeg Jets.
He practiced Friday, but remained unable to play in the team's losses to the Detroit Red Wings and Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday and Sunday.
But unlike Friday, Hischier participated in line rushes on Tuesday, skating in his usual spot between Taylor Hall and Kyle Palmieri on the top line.
