Pittsburgh Penguins
The Penguins had a difficult road back to the finals, between their opponents and injuries. Murray aggravated an injury in warmups before Game 1 of the first round agains the Columbus Blue Jackets, forcing Marc-Andre Fleury into action. Fleury filled in admirably and the Penguins won the first round in five games. They then played the President's Trophy-winning Washington Capitals in the second round, and they won Game 7 on the road to continue their run. Murray took over for Fleury in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Ottawa Senators with the Penguins down in 2-1 in the series.
