NHL free agency: Devils sign AHL defenseman John Ramage

The Devils another defensive depth piece by signing defenseman John Ramage to a one-year, two-way, $650K contract on Sunday.

The deal is worth $650K in the NHL level and $125K at the AHL level. He is guaranteed $150K even if he spends the entire season in AHL.

Ramage, who drafted in the fourth round of the 2010 NHL Draft by the Calgary Flames, has played two NHL games in his career, and he has spent the majority of the past five seasons in the AHL.

He split time between the Cleveland Monsters, Tuscon Roadrunners and Milwaukee Admirals in 2017-18, where he combined for four goals and 10 assists in 66 games.
