Marcus Johansson has been cleared to play after suffering a concussion on Nov. 1, and he could return to the Devils' lineup as early as Friday when the team visits the Colorado Avalanche.
Johansson fully participated in Monday's morning skate, and the Devils want to get him into a few full practices before making the final call on his return to game action.
Devils coach John Hynes said the forward will travel with the team when they embark on a three-game road trip on Thursday to Colorado, Arizona and Columbus.
