NEWARK, N.J. -- The New Jersey Devils have signed free agent defenseman Brandon Gormley to a one-year, two-way contract worth $650,000 at the NHL level.
Devils general manager Ray Shero announced the signing Thursday.
The 24-year-old Gormley spent last season with the Colorado Avalanche, collecting one assist in 26 games. He also had four goals and two assists with San Antonio (AHL).
Gormley spent three-plus seasons with the Arizona Coyotes before being traded to Colorado in September. He had two goals and two assists in 32 games over two seasons with the Coyotes.
