June 29th, 2016. The NHL world was put into a blender during a 15-minute span. During that span, the future of the New Jersey Devils was changed. They sent defenseman Adam Larsson to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for left wing Taylor Hall. This was a move that people assumed the Devils would benefit from, but not many predicted it would be this much.
Larsson has been an okay second-pair guy for the Oilers, but Taylor Hall has bloomed into a complete superstar since coming to New Jersey. He had a season in 2017-18 in which he dominated to the point where he won the Hart Trophy as the Most Valuable Player in the league.
