The New Jersey Devils were one of the busiest teams during the weekend coming into Monday, making a deal Friday night for Michael Grabner, then making another move at the last possible second bringing in Patrick Maroon from the Edmonton Oilers. Both those moves make the Devils better immediately, and show the team is will to go for it now.
However, there were two moves that could have been made that would also help the team in the future.
John Moore seems like the obvious choice when it comes to moves to make. Moore provides some decent production, but the price for depth defensemen was ridiculous this season.
