Although it may be a little biased, it is hard to argue, especially when the New Jersey Devils just immortalized a goaltender this past Tuesday, and no one would argue his importance to the team and its success.
The point of Chico’s statement is that you can never have too many quality goaltenders. The Devils got a quality guy named Cory Schneider to replace the great Martin Brodeur. They also have some quality goaltender prospects in their organization.
While we have all been focusing our attention on Mackenzie Blackwood as the goalie of the future (for now) for the New Jersey Devils, they actually have more than one capable goaltender prospect.
