As reported by Sportsnet, Devils all-time leading scorer and impending unrestricted free agent Patrik Elias wants to come back for one more year with New Jersey.
“He desperately wants to play one more year,” Elias’s agent, Allan Walsh said. “We’re not talking to other teams. If Patrik is able to play at the level he expects himself to play, if he can contribute to a team, I think New Jersey would very much love to have him back.”
We previously discussed the Elias situation here. The only thing that has changed since then is that Elias has now come out publicly and said he wants to play one more year for the Devils.
