THE GOOD
Ja-Jo is a solid three unit player. In addition to his 5-on-5 work, he’s an effective penalty killer who also shows excellent poise on the puck as a playmaker on the power play unit for the New Jersey Devils.
This versatility is a key element of his value to the Devils. In even strength situations, the Stockholm native is one of the better skating forwards on the team, both in terms of straight-ahead speed and the nimbleness he features when carrying the puck. Josefson is also a defensively responsible forward and he handled the Pete DeBoer “I hate Swedes” era with diplomacy and class.
