The New Jersey Devils and the Philadelphia Flyers have a quick turn around, a 1 p.m. puck drop, for the Metropolitan rivals. Both teams are coming off wins. The Devils, an emotional 2-1 victory over the Oilers on the night the organization retired Martin Brodeur’s #30. The Flyers are fresh off a 5-1 win over Buffalo on Thursday.
The Devils currently sit just one point behind the Tampa Bay Lightning for the final Wild Card spot in the East, a spot they’ve been bouncing into, and out of for weeks now. Philly, meanwhile, sits four points behind the Devils.
