Cory Schneider did everything he could to keep the Devils in the game, allowing only a lone goal to Dylan Larkin in the first period. Schneiderman made 20 saves but in the end, due to the Devils sudden disappearance of offense, would have had to win 0- (-1).
This begs the question, were the past three games an offensive fluke for the Devils? Are they the team that can put up three goals and pull off an OT win against the West leading Stars, or are they the team that gets shut out by the middle-of-the-road Red Wings?
