The Devils and Avalanche met earlier in the season on December 1st at ‘The Rock’, where the Avs earned a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Matt Duchene and Tyson Barrie and a 27 save performance from backup goalie Reto Berra.
This time, the Devils will look to avoid the series sweep at the Pepsi Center. All-Star Goalie Corey Schneider will start in between the pipes for the Devils after coming off an off-day on Tuesday night.
Overall, things have not been pretty for the Devils, as they have lost four of their past five games and have once again slipped out of the wild card race for the time being.
